AmeriSports Volleyball Placement Clinic Details
AmeriSports will have only 1 division for k-2nd and will create 2 divisions for all other age groups.
AmeriSports will have a placement clinic to score players and place them in the correct division. See the division details below for scoring.
Division 1
Playing in this league is ideal for players (boys and girls) that have played before and that have mastered the basics. Players have a basic understanding of specific positions on the floor, serve receive patterns, base position, base defense, and transitioning from defense to offense positions. Subbing in this division will be position specific and overhand serving will be required.
Other requirements
Players must attend a placement clinic to be evaluated for division 1
Division 1 players are not guaranteed to get the practice slot, coach, or teammates they request.
If an athlete does not make a division 1 team they will automatically be placed on a D2 team. There will not be any refunds.
Athletes that score division 1 will be able to play division 1 for a full year
Division 2
Playing in this league is ideal for players (boys and girls) who are new to the sport or that are still working on mastering the basics. Players are still working towards understanding specific positions on the floor, serve receive patterns, base position, base defense, and transitioning from defense to offense positions. Subbing in this division will be league style, not position specific. Players are still working on the overhand serve and three contacts on the ball prior to crossing the net.
Other requirements
Players are not required to attend a placement clinic if they want to play on a division 2 team. It is still recommended that players attend a placement clinic so we can balance our rosters.
Division 2 player's requests for practice slots, coach, or teammates will take priority.
If an athlete does not make a division 1 team, they will automatically be placed on a D2 team. There will not be any refunds.
