The Youth Basketball Session is designed to serve both individual players and coach-registered full teams in one unified league format. Boys & girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to participate. Teams will play 8 regular season games, followed by a single-elimination playoff week to crown division champions. 

Division Structure
AmeriSports will work to create divisions that provide the best possible competition and experience for all players.

Divisions will be formed, when possible, based on:

• The number of teams registered in each age group

• Coach input on the competitive level of their team

• Team performance and records from previous seasons

• Overall roster and division balance

• Depending on registration numbers, divisions may be combined when there are not enough teams to create separate competitive and recreational divisions.

$10/person (covers pizza and drinks) 

Event Details 

• Time: 6:00 PM – 8 PM 

• Uniform Pickup: Players will receive their uniforms during check-in. 

• Player Activities: Enjoy basketball games, shooting challenges, and friendly competitions. 

• Parent Orientation: Learn about league divisions, season format, game rules, playoffs, schedules, and communication. 

• Parent Q&A: Connect with AmeriSports staff, ask questions, and share feedback. 

• Pizza & Drinks: Enjoy refreshments and connect with fellow families. 

This event is a great opportunity for players to have fun, families to get informed, and everyone to start the winter season feeling prepared and excited!

Unable to Attend Tip-Off Night? 

If you are unable to attend Winter Hoops Tip-Off Night, your jersey will be available for pickup at the front desk during your team's first scheduled practice. Please stop by the front desk to collect your jersey before practice begins.

Note Game Days: Most games days are scheduled for Fridays and/or Saturdays. Depending on our event calendar, some game dates may need to be adjusted. We’ll do our best to keep games on these days whenever possible and communicate any changes as early as we can.

Refund Policy:
Cancellations before the registration deadline will incur a $30 administrative fee.
Cancellations after registration closes are non-refundable.

Player & Team Registration
All players will register directly through AmeriSports. Players may request to play for a specific coach or team during registration.

Coaches will register through AmeriSports to coach their team. AmeriSports will work with coaches to keep established teams together while also helping balance rosters when needed.
Coaches, please select the appropriate link below to register for the division you would like to coach (e.g., Boys League select the Boys Registerion… Girls League, Girls Registrations ect.).

All teams participating in the league will be AmeriSports teams and will wear AmeriSports uniforms.

Our goal is to create competitive, balanced games while providing an environment where players of all experience levels can develop, compete, and enjoy basketball.

AmeriSports Jersey & Shorts Requirements
All AmeriSports team players are required to wear an AmeriSports Jersey.

If you do not own an AmeriSports Jersey, you must add it during checkout at registration.
Jerseys and shorts will be available the week of your first practice.
Players who already own an AmeriSports Jersey and shorts from a previous season may continue wearing them.
Additional uniform items available during the season:

Shorts – $20

Where are practices and games played? 

AmeriSports Rockwall, 3101 Fit Sport Life Blvd, Rockwall, TX. 

Are AmeriSports practices full court? 

Yes. Scheduled AmeriSports team practices use a full court. 

What size basketball does my child need? 

Grades K-1: Size 5 / 27.5 inches.  

Boys Grades 2-5: Size 6 / 28.5 inches.  

Girls Grades 2 and up: Size 6 / 28.5 inches.  

Boys Grades 6 and up: Size 7 / 29.5 inches. 

Does my child have to wear an AmeriSports jersey? 

Yes. Every player must wear an official AmeriSports jersey during league games, including players who join with an existing team or coach. 

Do I need to buy a new jersey every season? 

No. AmeriSports jerseys may be reused in future seasons. 

Are AmeriSports shorts required? 

No. AmeriSports shorts are optional. 

Is the $30 membership charged every season? 

No. It is an annual league membership. 

How many basketball seasons does AmeriSports offer? 

AmeriSports currently offers five youth basketball seasons each year. 

Is AmeriSports a recreational or competitive league? 

AmeriSports Youth Basketball is a recreational league focused on player development, fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive competition. 

Can I bring my own team? 

Yes. Each player registers individually and requests their coach during registration. The coach must complete Coach Registration, and all players must wear an AmeriSports jersey. 

Is there an outside-team registration fee? 

No. There is no separate outside-team package. Each player registers individually. 

Can my child request a coach? 

Yes. Players can request a coach during registration. AmeriSports will make every effort to honor requests based on roster availability and league needs. 

Is there a placement clinic? 

No. There will not be a placement clinic this season.
