16U Red Regional Coaches

  • Young woman with wavy blonde hair, wearing a black t-shirt, standing in front of a wooden fence, smiling at the camera.

    Head Coach: Coach Gomez

Alyssa Gomez brings passion, purpose, and a growth-minded approach to the volleyball court with three years of coaching experience. She loves coaching because it challenges athletes both mentally and physically, while also teaching essential life skills such as accountability, discipline, and leadership.

Alyssa’s favorite concept to teach is leadership, believing that volleyball is a team sport where every player impacts the outcome. She emphasizes that leadership isn’t just a title—it’s shown through effort, communication, and accountability from every athlete on the court. When each player takes ownership of their role, the entire team becomes stronger.

Her coaching philosophy centers on empowerment: to encourage every athlete to lead, compete, and support their teammates through consistent effort and positive communication. Alyssa lives by the guiding phrase, “Effort is leadership,” and strives to model that mindset in everything she does.

One of her proudest coaching moments came when an athlete who struggled to serve at the start of the season was given the chance to serve in the final game. Despite being nervous, the athlete successfully got her serve over the net—an accomplishment that perfectly captured why Alyssa loves coaching young athletes.

Fun fact: Alyssa loves country and line dancing and brings that same energy and enthusiasm to the gym.

  • Young woman smiling, standing with hands on hips, wearing a dark athletic jacket with a logo, against a blurred American flag background.

    Assistant Coach: Coach Jade

Jade Green brings enthusiasm and a growth-focused mindset to the volleyball court with two years of coaching experience. She loves coaching because it allows her to witness athletes’ progress firsthand and watch them grow in confidence, skill, and competitiveness throughout the season.

Jade’s favorite skill to teach is attacking, where she enjoys showing players the many ways to score points and encouraging them to play aggressively and confidently at the net. Her coaching philosophy, “progression over perfection,” reflects her belief that steady improvement matters far more than flawless execution.

She lives by the guiding phrase, “You have to be willing to fail to improve,” and works to create an environment where athletes feel confident taking risks and learning from mistakes. One of Jade’s proudest coaching moments was winning her first tournament, a milestone that reflected both team growth and hard work.

Fun fact: Jade has played as both a middle blocker and a setter, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the game.
